Why Choose PQA?

Since we opened our first UK academy in 2007 we have offered training drama, comedy and filmmaking as well traditional story telling through song and dance. Our project based learning approach means that our young performers and filmmakers learn a variety of skills hands-on. From performing popular musicals to telling their own stories on film, each term gives the chance to learn something new. Our teaching team is supportive and encouraging, making each session fun.

Our Main Academy classes for 6-18 year-olds are broken down into three age groups, so each child is working at a level that suits them. And for younger children aged 4 to 6, we have our special Poppets classes, a fantastic introduction to the joy of performing.

A few words from Pauline Quirke MBE.

Pauline Quirke MBE began acting as a child, quickly moving from local drama classes to her first television role at the age of nine.

Pauline opened the first PQA with her husband Steve Sheen in 2007, when they wanted a weekend performing arts class for their son Charlie which offered more than acting, singing and dancing.
